How to watch Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Chicago Bears: TV/live stream info, kickoff time for Sunday

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to keep finding wins this week on Sunday Night Football against the Chicago Bears. Live coverage begins at 7:00 PM ET on NBC and Peacock with Football Night in America. See below for additional information on how to watch the Buccaneers vs. Bears game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Chicago Bears Game Preview:

Despite an 0-4 start and injuries forcing them to start UDFA rookie QB Jalon Daniels in three games, the Buccaneers have turned it around and gone 3-1 over the last few weeks.

Baker Mayfield, still looking to prove to the Tampa front office that his offseason extension was the right move, has been available to play since last week, when his Bucs shut out the division rival Falcons 16-0 despite not completing any of his three pass attempts.

“I’ll do whatever it takes to win,” Mayfield said after the game, via Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press.

That sentiment rang true, as the coaching staff decided in Week 8 that a heavy dose of Bucky Irving and Kenny Gainwell was what it would take to win. Tampa Bay ran roughshod over the Atlanta defense to the tune of a franchise-record 324 yards.

Irving, the third-year back, netted his sixth career 100-rushing-yard game and posted career highs with 27 carries for 170 rushing yards while Gainwell posted the first 100-rushing-yard regular-season game of his six-year career.

The water in Chicago is a bit less murky. Despite having to miss Weeks 3-5 with a hamstring injury, Caleb Williams is off to a rocket start this season, completing just under 71% of his passes for 1,267 yards and six TDs compared to just a single interception. Combined with over 120 yards and a pair of scores with his legs, Williams is maturing into the type of player the Bears hoped for when they took him first overall in 2024.

Since Williams’ return in Week 6 against the Falcons, the Bears have ripped off three straight wins with a fiery offense masterminded by head coach Ben Johnson scoring 30+ points in each.

Despite Williams’ emergence, the Bears’ pass-heavy attack could struggle against a Buccaneers’ defense that leads the league with 12 total interceptions and is tied for the eighth-fewest passing touchdowns allowed. They also allow the second-fewest rushing yards and are tied for the fewest rushing touchdowns allowed in the league.

This matchup also comes with early playoff implications. The Bears sit at 6-2, just behind the NFC North-leading Vikings at 6-1. A win for Chicago keeps the pressure on Minnesota coming down the back stretch of the season.

Meanwhile, the NFC South is wide open. Though a 3-5 record isn’t sterling, the Carolina Panthers sit atop the division at just 3-4, with the Buccaneers just behind them. With the Panthers hosting the Denver Broncos (6-2) this weekend, the Bucs have a chance to vault into first place in their division at a crucial juncture in the season.
