Chelsea take on Tottenham later today in a thrilling derby game. We can’t wait to see how Xabi Alonso’s improving Blues get on against our old rivals.

But who will make up the team who starts the game?

Chelsea to keep good form rolling with almost unchanged team

In goal we know it’s going to be Mike Penders, stepping in for his full Premier League debut after the injury to Emi Martinez.

We expect the same back line as last week – Josh Acheampong as a sort of right centre back, right back hybrid. Maxence Lacroix dominating the central space physically, and Levi Colwill angling passes between the lines from the left.

In the midfield, the Moises Caicedo – Jordan Henderson duo has two wins from two and won’t be touched.

At wing back, we know Pep Chavarria is still out, so Jorrel Hato will continue on the left and Pedro Neto should follow his two goal showing against Everton with another start here.

The front three picks itself – Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro.

Any deviation from that would surely be just down to injury.

In other news…

Xabi Alonso has promised a totally different Chelsea team when we reach the end of the season. But he didn’t expand on that…

Chelsea’s manager was asked about how he felt having to play a debutant in goal tomorrow, and the coach claimed he  has full confidence in Mike Penders.

Alonso ruled out defender Pep Chavarria with an injury – but did confirm another option would be back on the bench.
