Tottenham Hotspur are looking to improve their squad in the January transfer window, and they are now planning a move for a Premier League star.
A move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be an attractive proposition this winter, considering Roberto De Zerbi's side are very much on the up, taking ten points from their last four Premier League matches.
The latest victory came against Crystal Palace on Saturday, with Spurs running out 2-0 winners on home soil, and De Zerbi subsequently praised his side for the strides they have made since the beginning of the campaign.
The Italian said: "I think even before the national break we were playing well. We were playing maybe not 90 minutes, but many parts of the game we played very well. We didn't score. We conceded a stupid goal and then we lost energy. We lost spirit. We lost the right union between the players.
"If we compare Tottenham before the national break and Tottenham after the national break, now we are playing as a team. Before the national break we were playing as many very good players, but not as a team."
However, the Lilywhites could arguably do with bringing in another playmaker, considering left-back Andy Robertson has been their number one creator in the Premier League this season, with Xavi Simons still recovering from an ACL injury.

According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham are now planning a January move for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White, although a deal could be very expensive, given that the England international has been valued at £125m.
Gibbs-White was a top target for Spurs back in 2025, but they were unable to get a deal over the line, after being accused of making illegal contact with his agents.
However, the 26-year-old, who has the same agent as Marcos Senesi, has now switched representatives, and De Zerbi's side remain keen on securing his signature.
Journalist Pete O'Rourke added: "I think it's a pretty fluid situation. Spurs obviously are continuing to keep tabs on Gibbs-White. Forest have maybe not had the best of starts to the season, so they'll definitely not want to lose or consider losing Gibbs-White."
Indeed, Forest are really struggling in the Premier League this season, taking just six points from their opening nine Premier League matches, a tally that leaves them 19th in the table.
That said, Gibbs-White has shown some encouraging signs, picking up a goal and an assist in the 2-2 draw against Liverpool, and he has previously received major plaudits from content creator Mitch Fretton.
The 10-cap England international has proven himself over a number of years in the Premier League, picking up 34 goals and 35 assists in 199 matches, and he could be a statement signing for Spurs.
