The 2027 January transfer window is fast approaching and clubs across Europe are beginning to formalise their plans as they eye mid-season reinforcements.

Over the summer, the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Morgan Rogers, Elliot Anderson and Yan Diomande all switched clubs for fees well in excess of €100 million and while spending isn’t expected to reach similar levels in January, a host of high-profile deals are still set to take place.

Chelsea have been widely tipped to complete the signing of Bournemouth star Alex Scott amid their pursuit of a new central midfielder, while Arsenal are tracking several forwards, including Atletico Madrid winger Alex Baena and Monza striker Gustavo Varela.

Last year, Antoine Semenyo was the biggest transfer of the January window, thanks to his €72m move to Manchester City, while Jorgen Strand Larsen, Lucas Paqueta, Brennan Johnson and Conor Gallagher also completed high-profile moves.
