Kurt Warner on Titans' Cam Ward: 'Best game as he's played as a pro'

Earlier this week, Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward received high praise from one of his biggest critics, Dan Orlovsky, who has often criticized his accuracy, decision-making, and footwork. Against the Cincinnati Bengals, Ward answered the call. He looked like a different quarterback, and Orlovsky took notice.

On Thursday, another former NFL quarterback who has made similar comments about Ward and his lack of development, Kurt Warner, weighed in and was also blown away by Ward’s performance against the Bengals.

“But best game as a pro. So many really good things on this tape. I hope everybody watches this one. I don't care what team you are. I don't care what fan you are. I don't care about anything. If you want to see good quarterback play and the steps that it takes to be good, there's a lot of that stuff in this video, and I hope there's a bunch of people watching it.”

Ward had a career day against the Bengals and, for the first time, looked like the quarterback many expected to see after he was selected first overall. While he still has room to grow, it was an outstanding start: he completed 26-of-40 passes for 304 yards and two touchdowns, while adding seven carries for 41 yards.

Ward and his teammates are off this week, but will return in Week 10 to face their division rivals, Jacksonville.
