Pittsburgh Steelers standout center Zach Frazier has drawn comparisons from Ben Roethlisberger to one of the team's all-time greats.
On a recent episode of the Footbahlin' with Ben Roethlisberger podcast, Big Ben praised Frazier as the cornerstone of Pittsburgh's dominant offensive line in 2026, comparing him to legendary Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey.
“He's the anchor in the middle, he reminds me of Pouncey," Roethlisberger said. "He reminds me of the tough, ‘I don’t really need anything. I’m just gonna go out and do my job.’ ... At some point, he needs to start getting his Pro Bowl nods. ... And then that turns into the All-Pro nods. He’s that guy."
Frazier, drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, has been dominant in 2026, allowing just one quarterback hit and zero sacks, while also recording a solid PFF run-blocking grade of 79.8, third best among all eligible centers.
Frazier would definitely have some big shoes to fill when it comes to Pouncey, who was selected to two first-team All-Pro teams, three second-team All-Pro teams and nine Pro Bowls during his 11-year NFL career with the Steelers.
