Merab Dvalishvili is set to rematch his former UFC rival Marlon Moraes in a freestyle wrestling bout at RAF Abu Dhabi on November 14.
The former bantamweight champion is fresh off a unanimous decision defeat to Petr Yan at UFC 333.
Merab Dvalishvili is currently on a two-fight MMA losing streak after also being outpointed by Petr Yan at UFC 323 last December.
Marlon Moraes was officially confirmed as Merab Dvalishvili’s RAF Abu Dhabi opponent on Wednesday morning.
“#RAFABUDHABI JUST GOT EVEN BETTER,” the wrestling promotion wrote on Instagram.
“Merab Dvalishvili takes on Marlon Moraes NOV 14 at Etihad Arena.
“Tickets in bio. Watch on @foxnation in the U.S.”
Dvalishvili first faced Moraes during his rise through the UFC bantamweight ranks in September 2021.
‘The Machine’ was badly hurt early in the fight but recovered to secure a dramatic second-round TKO victory.
More than five years later, the former UFC rivals will meet again under freestyle wrestling rules at an event taking place on the same day as UFC 334.
