Liverpool ended a difficult week with a hard-earned 3-1 Premier League victory at struggling Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Alexis Mac Allister headed the visitors in front five minutes before the interval before the lead was doubled after the break through Florian Wirtz before Alexander Isak notched late on. Eddie Nketiah pulled a goal back with the last kick after a bizarre penalty decision.

The result means Andoni Iraola's side ended a run of successive defeats and go into the international break in fourth place in the table.

The ECHO was in attendance at Selhurst Park and here we run the rule over the performances of the Liverpool players....

Alisson Becker 9

Watched a Pino shot hit the bar early on and superb saves to keep out Kamada and Wharton before interval and excellent denying Pino when one-on-one second half.

Ronald Araujo 6

Didn’t enjoy a difficult opening half up against the busy Pino and lacked quality going forward. Better after interval and involved in second goal. Booked and subbed.

Jeremy Jacquet 6

Kept busy by the awkward Strand Larsen but one good block. Took a few bangs for his troubles as Palace looked for a way back into the game.

Virgil van Dijk 6

Denied Strand Larsen by putting his body on line first half but often pulled out of position. Aerial composure important at defending dead-ball situations.

Milos Kerkez 6

Busy in both directions but would most certainly have benefited from more help from Barcola in particular. Unlucky to concede penalty when seemingly headed in face by Osorio.

Dominik Szoboszlai 6

Set-piece deliveries were Liverpool’s most likely route to goal first half and free-kick set up opener. Struggled a bit after interval having sustained a knock. Subbed.

Alexis Mac Allister 8

Sought to put himself about once again in the engine room and fine header for opener. Such a key player to this Liverpool side this season. Booked.

Cody Gakpo 6

One ball across face of goal deserved finishing touch and sheer persistence won foul that prompted first goal. Subbed.

Florian Wirtz 7

Saw enough of the ball in good pockets before interval but struggled to play decent passes to team-mates. Real boost of confidence with finish for Liverpool second and set up third.

Bradley Barcola 5

Blocked on a few runs, declined to track back for much of first half and sent one great chance into orbit. Switched to right flank second half and set up second. Booked and subbed.

Alexander Isak 6

Barely involved first half and too often made wrong decision when in possession. Improvement after break and missed great chance late on before scoring the third. Subbed.

SUBS

Trey Nyoni (for Szoboszlai 69) 7

Another hugely impressive cameo from the teenager.

Victor Munoz (for Barcola 69) 6

Picked up needless booking for diving but pace important part in third goal.

Rio Ngumoha (for Gakpo 76) 6

A couple of runs but no end product this time.

Lewis Koumas (for Isak 90+1)

Win bonus.

Joe Gomez (for Araujo 90+1)
