Galaxy Twirlers, based in Swanton Morley, brought home an impressive collection of medals and trophies after a busy weekend of competition.

They are now appealing for sponsorship to compete internationally in Italy.

The team achieved numerous top-three podium places, with the Pom Group finishing third, while the Junior Pom Team and Junior Twirl Team both claimed first place.

Seven members of the Galaxy Twirlers have also been selected to represent England in the Inspiration Cup Championships in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy, in March 2027.

The selected twirlers, Keira, Sintija, Darcie, Lyla, Joanie, Gracie-Lou, and Georgia Ball, are gearing up for the international trip.

The group is now seeking sponsorship to help with the costs of travelling to Italy and participating in the competition.

A spokesperson for the group said: "The trip will provide a fantastic opportunity for the girls to gain international competition experience, represent their country and make lasting memories together.

"With Nationals behind them and an exciting international adventure ahead, it is a particularly special time for the team.

"Any sponsorship, whether through financial support, donations or help with fundraising, would make a meaningful difference to the girls and their families.

"In return, Galaxy Twirlers would be delighted to discuss ways to recognise and promote the support received, helping local businesses connect with the community and celebrate the achievements of these talented young twirlers.

"Local businesses interested in supporting the team are invited to get in touch to find out more.

"The group would also welcome help in sharing this sponsorship appeal with potential sponsors."

The team has expressed gratitude to their coaches, families, and supporters for their continued support as they prepare for their next challenge.
