WWE legend Ric Flair says he keeps getting asked how he's still alive in wake of recent fall, eye injury

The 16-time WWE champion cited a 1975 plane crash, 31 days in the ICU, and a 2022 heart attack in his reply

Ric Flair’s most recent health issue put the pro wrestling world on high alert.

Flair was hospitalized late last month after a fall landed him in a Florida hospital. He reportedly fell outside a bar in Tampa, injuring his face and possibly suffering a concussion. He was later seen with an eye patch over the right side of his face.

On Friday, Flair addressed a question he said he kept getting after his most recent issue – "How am I still alive?"

"The Question I Keep Getting Asked Is- How Am I Still Alive?" he wrote on X. "After 5,000 Matches With 2,400 Of Them Being One Hour Draws And 5 90 Minute Bouts. Round Trip To Japan, 24 Hours, Only To Wrestle Three One Hour Draws. Airplane Crash, 31 Days In The ICU And 14 Days On Life Support. 35 Days In Rehab.

"And You Are Worried About Me Falling Down And Hitting My Eye? WTF."

It’s true that Flair has been through the wringer.

The 16-time WWE champion was badly injured in a plane crash in 1975 but was able to return to the ring just about three months later. He was struck by lightning at least once, though he has claimed he was struck again later in his life. He also said he suffered a heart attack during his final match in 2022 and nearly died in 2017 following his intestines rupturing.

He’s also been open about recent blood clot issues that have hampered his ability to travel more than four hours.

Still, the 77-year-old has lived a pedal-to-the-metal lifestyle that has worried fans still to this day.
