MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Two players with ties to the Madison area have been selected to the 2027 U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team Selection Camp, USA Hockey announced Friday.

According to USA Hockey, Mateya Conklin was selected to the team as a forward.

Conklin, a McFarland native, last played for Shattuck-St. Mary’s.

Brooke Lakowske was also selected to the team as a forward, USA Hockey announced.

Lakowske, a Black River Falls native, last played for the Madison Capitols.

A total of 34 players were selected for the team.

The camp will be held from Oct. 25 to Oct. 27 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.

The final 25-player roster is expected to be announced in November.
