Alisson FUMES at Liverpool team-mate Jeremy Jacquet after Reds star turned his back and deflected Mason Greenwood's free-kick beyond goalkeeper

Alisson is usually composure personified for Liverpool but lost his rag with Jeremy Jacquet on Wednesday night.

The Brazilian gave his team-mate both barrels after Fenerbahce's equaliser - a heavily deflected Mason Greenwood free-kick.

Jacquet was at the edge of the Liverpool wall and twisted his body to take evasive action, with the ball ricocheting off his midriff and past the goalkeeper.

Jacquet has been a shining light for the Reds in his debut campaign but it was a poor moment that left his stopper livid.

Replay footage showed Greenwood's powerful attempt appeared to be heading wide before the deflection off Jacquet completely changed the trajectory.

Alisson had been moving swiftly to his left before being wrong-footed and the ball flew off the wet surface to his other side.

The 34-year-old's fury was immediate and he screamed at Jacquet, gesticulating wildly in his direction.

The centre-back appeared to recognise his mistake and brought his hand up to cover his eyes on a grim evening in Istanbul.

On commentary for TNT Sports, Ally McCoist said: 'It's Jacquet and he's livid (Alisson), does he turn his back? He certainly does, you've got to face it.

'The goalkeeper is livid, absolutely livid and with justification as well. He's (Jacquet) is side on for someone who has had a good start to the season.'

Jacquet has been partnering Virgil van Dijk in almost every game so far this term for Andoni Iraola's men and acquitted himself excellently.

Having joined from Rennes in the summer for £55million after agreeing the move in January, he's seamlessly replaced Ibrahima Konate, who left on a free transfer before signing for Real Madrid.

Jacquet is still just 21 and the France international will no doubt want to avoid the ire of his goalkeeper and learn his lesson when it comes to forming a solid wall.

Trey Nyoni had opened the scoring for the Reds before Greenwood's leveller. Alexander Isak then came off the bench to give the visitors the lead once more before Fenerbahce roared back.

Two goals in the space of six minutes gave the Turkish side a 3-2 lead in the pouring rain, to the delight of interim boss and cult Liverpool legend Dirk Kuyt and the home side held on for a famous win.
