Ahmedabad, Nov 5: India’s top-ranked Under-13 table tennis prodigy, Divija Paul, has once again showcased her exceptional talent, winning the U13 Singles title at the WTT Youth Contender Chennai 2026. This victory marks another significant milestone in her burgeoning international career, further solidifying her position as a rising star in Indian table tennis.

Representing Adani Sportsline’s ‘Garv Hai’ athlete roster, the Assam-based youngster competed fiercely from October 23 to 26. Her triumph in Chennai is her second WTT Youth Contender singles gold in recent weeks, following a similar victory in the U13 category at Puerto Princesa in the Philippines. Divija also boasts U11 and U13 gold medals from WTT Youth Contender events in Vadodara in 2025 and 2026, respectively, highlighting her consistent performance across age groups.

Expressing her joy, Divija stated, “Winning in Chennai while wearing the ‘Garv Hai’ jersey is a moment I will always remember. Adani Sportsline’s belief in me has been a huge motivator. Every time I step up to the table, that belief steps up with me. I thank them for their support to me and my family. My focus now is on the upcoming Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) Championship in Jalandhar.”

A Class VII student at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Silchar, Divija's journey began at age six. Her national breakthrough came in 2023 with her maiden U11 national title in Panchkula. She continued her ascent, winning the U13 title at the UTT National Ranking Table Tennis Championship in Delhi in 2025 and the U13 Doubles crown in Gandhidham later that year. She also secured a bronze in the U13 Girls category at the National Ranking Table Tennis Championship in Panchkula earlier this month.

Under the 'Garv Hai' initiative, Adani Sportsline has been supporting Divija since September 2026, providing international-standard equipment, travel assistance, and strength and conditioning facilities. This crucial backing aims to nurture her talent as she pursues her ultimate dream of winning an Olympic gold medal for India.
