ISACK HADJAR has been summoned to the Mexico Grand Prix stewards for an alleged incident of “misconduct” in the paddock.
A furious Hadjar was seen twice shoving a fan who had approached him and attempted to take a selfie after a frustrating FP1.
The stewards report read: “Alleged breach of Article 12.2.1.l of the FIA International Sporting Code – Misconduct, relating to an incident in the Formula 1 paddock today,”
Hadjar had been hit by power unit problems during FP1, which caused him to complete just 21 laps.
He was also the third-lowest total ahead of Jak Crawford for Aston Martin and Audi’s Freddie Slater.
The FIA’s International Sporting Code states, “any words, deeds or writings that have caused moral injury or loss to the FIA, its bodies, its members or its executive officers,
“And more generally on the interest of motorsport and on the values defended by the FIA” can carry a fine of up to €5000.
A lot of fans have shown support for Hadjar on social media with one X user writing: “It’s not okay that a complete stranger was able to approach him, invade his personal space and forcefully take a photo he was not willing to take.
“Security should do better. Fans should do better.”
While one F1 fan disagreed and said: “He’s surrounded by security. The fan isn’t even touching him. He could’ve simply ignored him and walked away, he didn’t. He’s still an a**hole.
“I’m not saying drivers are obligated to take pictures with every fan out there but his reaction was completely unnecessary.”
Kimi Antonelli will win his first ever world title and become the youngest winner in F1 history as long as he does not lose more than two points to team-mate George Russell and one-point to Lewis Hamilton.
The only way he could be stopped from sealing the title is if one of Russell and Hamilton wins.
In this scenario, ninth would be still enough for Antonelli to become champion if it is Russell, and 10th if it is Hamilton.
