Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is a doubt for the trip to Crystal Palace in the Premier League this Sunday, with the Dutchman still recovering from a heel issue.

Reds boss Andoni Iraola has not ruled Gravenberch out of playing at Selhurst Park, suggesting that he will be assessed "day by day". However, the 24-year-old has not been selected by the Netherlands ahead of the upcoming international break.

"The only doubt we will have is Ryan," Iraola said during his pre-match press conference. "The others will be the same as we have been. The Ryan Gravenberch thing is a day-to-day thing; it’s a matter of pain. Let’s see if he can deal with the pain, and he can help us."

Elsewhere, Hugo Ekitike and Conor Bradley are long-term absentees. They are edging closer to a return, but are still not back in training and are likely to be sidelined for a little longer yet.

Iraola said a few weeks ago that Giovanni Leoni was targeting the November international break for a return to team training. The Italian center-back has been sidelined for over a year.

Jeremie Frimpong — another to have been left out of the Dutch squad — is also likely to make a return during the next couple of weeks. The full-back has been missing since limping off at Brentford.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, will be without Jean-Philippe Mateta through suspension. He was sent off last week against Tottenham and a subsequent appeal was rejected.

Chadi Riad Dnanou, Ismaila Sarr and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also set to be absent. Sarr was a player that Liverpool considered during the summer transfer window.

"I think, even if they change the manager, there is a continuity in terms of more or less the system is the same, the players are very familiarised with the things that they are trying to do," Iraola said on Friday.

"I was obviously watching the game yesterday. They fight until the end. Even with 10 players, they managed to get a result in the last second.

Liverpool FC have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27, inspired by iconic adidas strip worn during the club's 1989/90 title-winning campaign.

"I think it's a team that has good quality players inside. They put in their box in the middle [Adam] Wharton, [Daichi] Kamada, Yeremy Pino, [Quinten] Timber — all the players that can play there are good on the ball.

"And also, it's a pitch that is not the biggest pitch, so you feel quickly under pressure in terms of one throw-in, one long ball, straight away it goes into the boxes. So, there is a lot of situations inside the boxes that you have to be very good offensively and defensively."
