Organization and international participation

The Association des Coureurs du Grand Casablanca (ACGC) organized the 17th edition of the marathon with the support of title partner Crédit du Maroc. The event included marathon, semi-marathon, and relay races, drawing international participation to the city. Organizers stated their ambition is to establish the event as a significant fixture on the international running circuit while promoting local inclusion and high-level competition.

Future of the Casablanca Marathon

While the 2026 event concluded with these results, the ACGC continues to work toward elevating the marathon’s status in the region. The race required traffic restrictions across the city on Sunday to accommodate the course, which spanned the metropolitan area. There has been no announcement regarding the specific date for the 18th edition, though organizers remain focused on the event’s growth as a signature sporting occasion for Casablanca.
