Bron Breakker suffered a scary neck landing during a live event on October 17 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Despite how dangerous the moment looked, the company reportedly wants to move on rather than extend the spotlight on the moment.

The incident happened during a six-man tag team match. Breakker teamed up with Bronson Reed and Austin Theory to face Oba Femi, LA Knight, and Penta. During the match, Breakker attempted his usual top-rope Frankensteiner on Knight. However, Knight managed to escape the move, causing Breakker to land awkwardly on his neck.

The landing immediately raised concerns, and the referee checked on Breakker. But despite the fall, the former NXT Champion continued wrestling and finished the match. While that was encouraging, the incident still raised questions about his condition. WWE has yet to confirm whether Breakker suffered an injury during the match.

WWE reportedly downplays Bron Breakker’s scary landing

During a recent Q&A session, JoeyVotes and TC of WrestleVotes were asked about WWE’s reaction to Breakker’s frightening fall. According to WrestleVotes, officials don’t seem interested in making the incident a major talking point.

“People backstage are like, ‘Let’s no-sell this a little bit and hope he’s done,’” WrestleVotes said (H/T: Ringside News).

Although WWE hasn’t provided an official injury update, WrestleVotes believes medical staff likely checked on Breakker after the match.

“I’m sure there were medical personnel checking on him. But at the same time, they want to get over this quickly,” WrestleVotes added.

One of the biggest takeaways from the WrestleVotes report is that nobody backstage is reportedly being blamed for what happened. Rather than treating the incident as a major mistake, WrestleVotes described it as an unfortunate accident during a non-televised event.

“It was a house show — it was probably a simple sort of mistake. There’s no heat on anybody,” WrestleVotes explained.

However, that doesn’t mean the company is ignoring how serious the landing could have been. Breakker’s health remains the main concern. The lack of a public injury announcement also doesn’t confirm he escaped the incident unscathed.

For now, there is no clear update on his condition beyond the fact that he finished the match.
