Colorado returns to Mountain America Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 7, seeking consecutive wins in Tempe against an Arizona State program that has dominated much of the series.
The Buffaloes trail 11-4 all-time and are 2-6 on the road against the Sun Devils. Their most recent visit to Tempe ended with a 27-24 victory in 2023, giving Deion Sanders his first Pac-12 win.
Alejandro Mata made a 43-yard field goal with 12 seconds remaining on Oct. 7, 2023, after Shedeur Sanders connected with Javon Antonio for a 43-yard gain.
Arizona State had tied the game with 50 seconds left before Colorado answered with the winning possession. That remains the Buffaloes' latest series victory.
The Sun Devils won last season's meeting 42-17 at Folsom Field on Nov. 22. Raleek Brown rushed for 255 yards on 22 carries, setting Arizona State's single-game road rushing record.
The series began with Arizona State's 21-3 victory in Boulder in 2006. The Sun Devils won the first seven meetings through 2015, including a 54-13 victory in 2013, their largest margin in the matchup.
Colorado broke through with a 40-16 home victory in 2016, their largest win over Arizona State. The Buffaloes later won consecutive meetings in 2018 and 2019, their longest winning streak in the series.
Arizona State won 42-34 in Boulder in 2022 before the teams split their next two meetings. Saturday will be their 16th matchup and Colorado's ninth visit to Tempe.
