Burkina Faso’s U15 national team have been eliminated from the FIFA U15 World Cup following a disappointing 3-0 defeat to the Dominican Republic in the knockout stage.

The young Burkinabè side entered the encounter hoping to extend their campaign and secure a place in the next round, but they were unable to overcome their Dominican opponents, who delivered a commanding performance to seal qualification.

The three-goal defeat brings Burkina Faso’s journey in the tournament to an end, dealing a setback to their hopes of progressing further in the global youth competition.

For the Dominican Republic, the victory represents a significant achievement as they advance to the next stage, while Burkina Faso must now reflect on their performance and turn their attention to future youth football assignments.

Despite the elimination, the experience gained from competing on the international stage could prove valuable for Burkina Faso’s young players as they continue their development.

The Dominican Republic will now look ahead to their next knockout fixture, hoping to maintain their momentum and continue their run in the tournament.
