Vincent Joseph's first-half hat-trick headlined a busy first half, as momentum swung between the sides. His opener was cancelled out by a Jai Nwosu brace, before Maalik Hashi levelled and Joseph struck twice more to restore a healthy lead.
The goals continued to fly in after the interval, as Nwosu added a further two to his tally but finishes from Donczew and another from Hashi made sure we came out on top in a crazy game.
Much like last week in the West Midlands, we made a flying start, with Elyon Mbala winning possession high up the pitch before driving down the byline and picking out Joseph for a simple tap-in.
The Bees weren't behind for long, as Teshaun Murisa brought down Andrew Noni inside the box, allowing Nwosu to step up and coolly place his penalty into the bottom-left corner.
Our opponents took the lead from a backline mistake that put Nwosu through on Charlie Phillips, who glided past our stopper to shoot into an empty net and double his tally.
We equalised from a spotkick of our own after Joseph muscled past Josh Oladapo-Gamu, who could only bring him down in desperation. Hashi stepped up and buried his strike into the top left corner.
In a flash, we restored our lead as Hashi's free-kick crashed back off the post, allowing Joseph to pounce on the rebound for another tap-in and his second of the match.
Joseph capped off an entertaining opening 45 by completing an emphatic hat-trick. Murisa drove through midfield before finding his teammate in the area, where Joseph slotted past Felix Lyon in the Bees' goal.
Brentford hit back again after the break, with Nwosu completing his own treble after picking up the loose ball from Charlie Purdy's tackle on Nathaniel Ogungbemi, before sweeping his finish across goal to give the visitors a lifeline.
We restored our two-goal cushion moments later, as Luis Munoz's corner was met by Murisa, who nodded the ball down for Axel Donczew to flick goalwards.
Incredibly, the pendulum continued to swing, as Nwosu grabbed his fourth of the afternoon. Despite falling to the ground under pressure from Dan McCarron, the striker showed determination to react and get his shot away, making it 5-4 with 25 minutes still left on the clock.
The action continued with Hashi doubling his goal output after linking up with substitute Emerson Nwaneri, whose run down the left ended with a cut-back for his teammate to slot home right-footed.
The Bees battled on and thought they had pulled another back when Nwosu found the net for his fifth, only for the effort to be ruled out for offside and our under-18s to see out the rest of an extraordinary game of football.
The latest victory extends our streak to seven on the bounce, with the three points moving us up to 3rd in the table.
Our young Gunners turn their attention to the U18 Premier League Cup, hosting Sunderland on Saturday, November 7.
A win over the Black Cats would see us top Group B and secure qualification for the knockout rounds.
Kick-off at the Sobha Realty Training Centre is scheduled for 11.30 am (UK time).
