New England Revolution versus Inter Miami kicks off at 7pm ET on Sunday, November 1, which is midnight GMT for viewers in the UK, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The match is live worldwide on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, including in the UK and the US.
Lionel Messi was a peripheral figure as Inter Miami drew with FC Cincinnati in midweek but he needs to come to the fore once again if his side are to clinch the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
Messi produced a rare blank on Wednesday night and it was left to Luis Suarez and Riquelme Fillipi to provide the goals that handed Miami a share of the spoils.
The draw left Miami in third, behind the New England Revolution, who established a two-point advantage over the Floridian club with a 3-2 defeat of the New York Red Bulls.
With just two regular-season games remaining, the Revs could clinch second place with a win at Gillette Stadium and a spot in next season’s Champions Cup.
The winners of the MLS Cup, the Leagues Cup, U.S. Open Cup, MLS Supporters’ Shield and the league’s Eastern and Western Conference champions each get a spot in the Champions Cup. With Nashville having secured the Supporters’ Shield, second place in the East will get one of the automatic spots.
New England have been one of the stories of the season under Marko Mitrović. They have won 18 of their 32 games, and also have one of the most potent attacks in the league. Carles Gil has been brilliant once again, with 13 goals and 13 assists, while Dor Turgeman has added 12 goals and Peyton Miller seven.
Miami’s form has been patchier lately. After beating DC United, New York City FC and Atlanta United in successive games, Kily González’s side lost 2-0 to the New York Red Bulls and then drew with Cincy.
Messi remains the frontrunner for a historic third successive MLS MVP award. He leads the league with 25 goals, and he has 14 assists as well, but he has failed to score or assist in his last two games.
The reigning MLS Cup champions are still the league’s most prolific side, averaging 2.35 goals per game. Defence, though, has been their weakness. They have conceded 1.71 goals per game this season.
Miami have dominated this fixture in recent years. Before this season, New England hadn’t beaten the Herons since June 2023, and Miami had won seven of their 10 meetings in all.

A lot rides on Messi. If he can regain top form there is no better player in MLS and he ought to be able to carry Inter Miami on his shoulders. We are backing the Argentine genius to have a big night.
