Harry Kane’s former Tottenham teammate Dele Alli has sent a clear message to those who are questioning the decision to hand the 2026 Ballon d’Or to his former Spurs teammate.

While Spurs fans have known for more than a decade that Kane is the best striker in the world and one of the greatest players of his generation, that was finally rubber-stamped by the events on Monday night.

Tottenham’s record scorer was crowned the best player in the world in his home city of London, becoming the first English player to win the Ballon d’Or since Michael Owen did it in 2001.

Kane gave Spurs a special shoutout in his acceptance speech, showing how much the club meant to him and how important a part of his journey they were.

He said: “I want to say thank you to Tottenham Hotspur as well. I would not be where I am today without Tottenham. You allowed me to live my dream.”

A whole host of people associated with the Lilywhites have expressed their delight at the Tottenham legend picking up the award.
