Gambian international referee Isatou Touray has officially hang up her whistle after a remarkable career, stepping aside to make way for the next generation of rising talent.
Holding her FIFA badge since 2015, Isatou blazed trails as one of the first female central referees in the GFF Men’s First Division League, earning widespread respect for her authority, fairness, and deep knowledge of the game. Her stellar career took her across Africa and the world, officiating in WAFU-A tournaments, CAF WAFCON qualifiers, and FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup qualifiers.
When she wasn’t commanding the pitch, she proudly served her country as a Deputy Superintendent of the Gambia Immigration Department. Thank you, Isatou, for your immense dedication to Gambian football.
“You will be deeply missed on the field, but your legacy lives on.”
