Hailie Deegan reveals desire to return to NASCAR Truck Series in 2027

Hailie Deegan is targeting a return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2027, although she has not secured a ride. The 25-year-old discussed her plans during an October appearance at Phoenix Raceway, identifying the Truck Series as her preferred destination.

Deegan returned to stock-car racing in 2026 with Bill McAnally Racing in the ARCA Menards Series West. She scored a victory at Madera Speedway in September, ending a winless stretch dating to 2019 and adding momentum to her comeback efforts.

"Next year, I would love to go truck racing again," Deegan said. However, sponsorship funding remains a significant obstacle. She indicated discussions were ongoing but emphasized that nothing had been finalized for next season.

Deegan previously competed full time in the Truck Series from 2021 through 2023, recording five top-10 finishes in 69 starts. She moved to the NASCAR Xfinity Series with AM Racing in 2024, but the partnership ended after 17 races. She subsequently competed in INDY NXT in 2025.

While Deegan's recent ARCA success has renewed her aspirations, a Truck Series return remains a goal rather than a confirmed deal. Her 2027 plans depend on finding a suitable opportunity and the financial backing to make it happen.
