With her second goal of the night, Alessia became the all-time leading English goalscorer in the UEFA Women's Champions League, now standing at 23 goals in the competition after her third of the night.
"We love playing here," Alessia said on a special night at Mangata Developments Stadium, "we love having the fans so close to us.
"After the weekend against Spurs, we wanted to come out and back it up, and we did that. I think we built on it even more tonight.
"It feels really nice [to get the record]. I love playing in the Champions League and I love scoring goals, so to have them combined is really nice. Hopefully more and more special memories in the Champions League as well."
With our success against the Portuguese side, we've recorded seven points from our first three league phase games, putting us in a strong position to progress to the knockout stages.
Alessia is looking forward to the second half of our league phase, with crunch ties against last seasons finalists Barcelona and OL Lyonnes to come.
"This is a competition that we absolutely love playing in as a team. We know there's still a way to go, but it sets us up nicely."
On a night of records, our third and final goal of the victory saw us reach 200 goals under Renee Slegers.
No player has scored more of those 200 goals than Alessia, who was fell of praise for our Champions League winning head coach, who she says encourages the attacking football every striker wants to play.
"200 goals is a great achievement. I think she instils a lot of confidence in us as attackers. She wants us to be free, enjoy creating and shooting and scoring.
"She definitely tries to drive that in training and in games, so she gives us confidence to go out there and take shots when maybe we would second guess it.
"I think that's important with a manager, to know that they trust you and they want you to play with your instincts as well, especially in the final third."
