Tottenham could be without seven players for their crucial trip to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea on Saturday, including Destiny Udogie.

Having got their first win of the season against Coventry City on Monday, the Lilywhites will be keen to build on that result as they prepare for a crucial London derby.

Stamford Bridge is a ground where Tottenham have a shocking record, and Roberto De Zerbi has already lost at the venue as Spurs boss in the penultimate game of last season.

Spurs were boosted by the return of Dejan Kulusevski against Coventry, and they could receive another boost over the coming days, with Pedro Porro potentially set to return for the Chelsea clash.

However, the Tottenham fans may have to wait a bit longer to see another full-back in action.

Udogie delivered an exceptional display in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, but the left-back was not part of the matchday squad for the 3-1 win over Coventry.

De Zerbi hinted that Udogie’s absence against Coventry was due to precaution after he felt some discomfort in his knee.

That suggested that the Italy international would be back available for the big clash against Chelsea. However, Football.London have now claimed that the 23-year-old will not be back for Saturday’s London derby.

The website names Udogie among the seven first-team players who are ‘guaranteed’ to be unavailable for the upcoming clash.

Concerns surrounding Andy Robertson and two other Spurs stars

To make matters worse for Spurs, fellow left-back Andy Robertson was also limping for a couple of minutes before he was taken off against Coventry City.

Additionally, Tosin Adarabiayo also went down and received treatment just before being taken off, while Omar Marmoush was seen holding his calf as he came off in the dying stages of the game.

However, in his post-match press conference, De Zerbi insisted that Tottenham did not have any fresh injury concerns for those three players, which came as a relief to Spurs fans.

When asked if there are any injuries to Robertson, Adaribayo or Marmoush, the Spurs boss responded: “No, no, no, I think there are no injuries, nothing important.”
