Wife of NFL star Jonathan Taylor continues to spark trade speculation with bizarre social media moves

The wife of Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has sparked more rumors he's about to be traded with more bizarre activity on social media.

The Colts are in the midst of a fire sale after sending star players Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner to the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers respectively this week.

There would be a vast amount of suitors for Taylor too, given he is one of the best running backs in the NFL, if the Colts decide to cash in on him for future draft picks too.

But talk of his potential exit has been ramped up by his wife, Ayanna, on social media in recent days. After posting about the uncertainty surrounding her family earlier this week, she added to the chaos on Thursday.

Ayanna liked two comments on her Instagram post. One was a fan questioning if Taylor could end up with the Denver Broncos, while another showed a picture of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray holding the Super Bowl trophy.

It comes after Taylor insisted on Thursday that he hasn't requested a trade from Indy and he's happy where he is.

'I'm always proud to wear the horseshoe,' he said. 'No one is going out there, waving the white flag of surrender. We're going out there to compete. We're going out there to get a "W."

'Every time you go on the field, you want to dominate and show you're the best. So that's what we're going to do. It's part of my job, especially after losing two captains.'

Taylor is so convinced Indy can win now, he even questioned whether the franchise was embarking on a rebuild after last week's firing of general manager Chris Ballard and Tuesday's trades of perennial Pro Bowlers Nelson and Buckner.

The Colts received a 2027 third-round draft pick and a 2028 fifth-rounder from Seattle for Nelson, a three-time All-Pro left guard. They got a 2027 fourth-rounder from San Francisco for Buckner. But the 30-year-old Nelson and the 32-year-old Buckner are both on expiring contracts.

Taylor is not. In August, he signed a two-year, $44 million contract extension that runs through 2028. He's also just 27 years old, and the 2021 NFL rushing champ has shown no sign of slowing down.

The former Wisconsin Badgers star led the league with 18 touchdown runs last season and shares the league lead with eight this season entering Week 8.

He also led the league in rushing last season until quarterback Daniel Jones suffered two injuries and the Colts brought Philip Rivers out of retirement before finishing the season with Riley Leonard behind center. Taylor still finished third, 36 yards behind James Cook and 10 behind Derrick Henry. This season, he's fifth in the league with 587 yards entering Week 8.

Taylor could command a high price, but he would rather stay with the team that drafted him in 2020.

Ayanna took to TikTok to speak on the matter

However, it's unlikely that the Colts would trade star man Taylor

Taking to TikTok on Wednesday, Ayanna Taylor voiced her concern over the team's decisions and what it could all mean for her husband.

In one video, Ayanna covered her mouth in shock as she reacted to the trade news. The post was captioned: 'POV: You're just tryin to relax at your hair appointment, but Colts players are getting traded left and right and your husband could be next.'

Meanwhile, in a following video, she captioned it: 'Q [Quenton Nelson] and now DeForest… should I start packing?!'

In the video, she said: 'Is literally anybody safe on this team? I've never known the Colts organization without these people and it kind of feels like rookie year all over again. So, naturally, my mind is spiraling. Is this the start of the trade frenzy?

'What does this mean for my husband and I? Do I need to start packing our bags?

'Are we going to be spending our daughter's first Halloween together? Will we make it to game day, or was last week the last time my husband is putting on a Colts jersey?'
