The 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony is right around the corner, and the organizers have revealed who will be hosting the gala. Former Arsenal and Barcelona legend Thierry Henry and British sports broadcaster Kate Scott have been named as the co-hosts for the upcoming 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony, which will take place on Monday, October 26, at the London Palladium Theatre. The ceremony will reveal the winner of the coveted prize awarded by France Football in collaboration with UEFA.
The duo of Scott and Henry is well-known for their work at CBS Sports, where they have become popular for their UEFA Champions League coverage alongside former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher and former Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
Thierry Henry needs no introduction for football fans: with France, he won the 1998 FIFA World Cup in his home country, as well as EURO 2000. On the club side, Henry won two English Premier League titles with Arsenal — one in the 2001/02 season and another in the 2003/04 season as part of The Invincibles, the 2004 Arsenal team that won the league without a single defeat. As if that were not enough, he was a key player for the Barcelona squad that won the 2009 UEFA Champions League, and he was nominated nine times for the Ballon d’Or himself.
Scott, meanwhile, has become one of the most recognizable faces in international football broadcasting. A multilingual broadcaster, she often uses her language skills to interview players and coaches or translate for her colleagues. As a journalist, Scott has covered multiple men’s and women’s World Cups, the UEFA Champions League, and several domestic leagues. She is also known for her wit and humor, with colleagues Henry and Richards commonly the targets of her banter. Scott will be a familiar face at the ceremony, having previously hosted in 2014, 2015, and 2025.
The ceremony will take place on Monday, October 26, at 8:00 PM GMT at the London Palladium Theatre, where one of the three top candidates — Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, FC Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, or Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé — will be crowned as the best footballer in the world.
