Barça returned to domestic competition after the international break with a commanding 7-2 victory away to El Ejido. Javi Rodríguez's side controlled the match from start to finish and claimed three points that temporarily move them to the top of the table with the team's attention now turning to Europe.

Decided before the break

The blaugranes started the match with intensity and took the lead early on through Antonio, following an assist from Pito. Shortly afterwards, Adolfo doubled the advantage after a well-worked attacking move.

The hosts pulled one back with a remarkable goal from goalkeeper Vandeson, who scored from the halfway line, but Barça responded quickly. Sergio González, set up by Pito, made it 3-1, and Higor extended the lead to 4-1 before halftime after an excellent work by Mamadou Touré.

Regresan con buen pie

After the break, Barça maintained control of the game and continued to create chances. Pito capitalized on an error in the Andalusian side’s build-up play to make it 1-5, and Higor completed his brace with an excellent finish to extend the lead even further. Juanico scored the hosts' second goal from a well-worked set-piece routine, but Sergio González responded almost immediately by making it 7-2, rounding off a rapid counter.

In the closing stages, the blaugrana comfortably managed their advantage until the final whistle. With this convincing victory, Barça resume their league campaign in the best possible way and move provisionally to the top of the standings. Now, Javi Rodríguez’s side are already turning their attention to next week's challenges in European competition.
